During the quarantine period, buildings such as football stadiums, for example, became temporary field hospitals to assist in relieving the health system. It prompted a fundamental question of ‘How do we effectively adapt our current infrastructure especially large-scale buildings to better respond to fluid healthcare needs during extreme hazard situations, whether a pandemic, war or climate change?
