Essex and Suffolk Water

The idea behind the Essex and Suffolk water office building was to relocate all local workers from poor quality office space too one central site. This owner occupied office space designed by Faulkner Browns, was deemed as a new start for Essex and Suffolk water, a place where their workers could work effectively and efficiently with all teams under one roof. Even though this building was the biggest single development by E&S water and one they wanted to stay in for many years. They had the future in mind, the building itself is built on the edge of the treatment works so that in the future it can be let out to external companies by simply moving the site boundary. It is also versatile in the fact that the floors can be separated out so that different companies can occupy the different floors. The large atrium also provided a large adjustable area where different activities could take place throughout the day, hence maximising the potential of the building.
